Many pilots arrived early and got some great flying in on Thursday and Friday before the event started. Friday morning dawned with excellent weather, and many flew around the Monuments in smooth air. Foot launching here makes sense, since you can land easily.
Monument Valley PPG Gathering, 2009 - Saturday
By Saturday morning, most pilots had arrived, and the Goulding's Airstrip was alive with Powered Paragliders, PPG Trikes, Delta Trikes and Powered Parachutes, as well as the usual General Aviation traffic. Another perfect day was in store for those that could handle launching in light crosswind conditions. (Pictures and Delta Trike Video)
