Assembly: Netting - (Cage Parts)

Attach the netting to the base of the Miniplane Frame with the small loops of line at each end of the Netting. Loop the songle loop over the Rivet first, then loop the second double loop over the Rivet using the second loop to pull the line into place.

Next, attach the second ring from the Netting Line to the small hook on each side of the frame just under the Fuel Tank. This should gently tighten the Netting into place, but not be very snug yet. Make sure the line is routed correctly and that the Netting Rings are sliding freely on the line before proceeding to the next step.

The "Macrame"

To tighten the Miniplane Netting, loop one side's Quick Link (or Ring on older models) over the line coming from the other side, then back over the other line. Pull gently, yet firmly and slide this loop towards the Hook on the Frame to about 1.5" distance from the Hook.

Now, without releasing the pressure you have created on the string, loop the end over the Netting Ring that is closest to your loop and bring it down against the loop, tightening the lower Netting towards the Frame. Loop the Quick Link around once or twice more, then slide it over the Hook on the Frame.

The second one will be exactly the same, but this one will be tighter. As you complete the second side, don't just pull hard on the Line, but rather, help distribute the pressure by helping the Line tighten by gently pulling the Line, stretching it around the inside of the Netting towards the end you are working on.

See Netting Installation VIDEOS.

The first time that you do this, it will seem foreign, but once you have done it 2 or 3 times, it will become familiar, and be much easier and quicker.

The next step in the assembly is the Harness.
